I don’t want to fall into that hole again. I don’t want to feel weak and sad all the time again but the thought of a blade against my skin won’t leave my mind. Things are at a low point and well, although I’m not alone, a lot of things have changed since then and I can’t pick myself up so quickly anymore. I can’t do it alone, but I’m not willing to reach out for help. My problem? I want to cut so badly, but I’m not able to live with the scars and hiding the cuts like I used to. My mom will know and my sister could relapse and end up in the hospital and I can’t do it. I can’t be selfish.. but I can’t some days… I can’t.

It’s scary to find someone that makes you happy. You start giving them all of your attention because they’re what makes you forget everything bad that’s going on in your life. They’re the first person you want to talk to in the morning and the last one before you sleep just so you can start and end your day with a smile. It all sounds great to have that someone, but it’s scary to think about how easily they could just leave and take that happiness away too when they go.
